This was a very last minute booking made just 24 hours prior to the August Bank holiday weekend. virtually all oaccommodation we checked was either already booked or required a minimum stay of at least 3 nights so we weren't expecting much when we found the Allerdale had a room available and no restrictions. However everything was perfect and far exceeded our expectations. Read less

The room was clean and bright and the breakfast excellent. The staff service was also of the highest quality from Reception to room service to catering service.
Dislikes:
The only critisism was that we had difficulty parking.

The Allerdale Hotel is a Victorian villa built in the 1850's for an Admiral, now under the personal supervision of the Abbott family. It has been tastefully renovated to provide comfortable surroundings to ensure a relaxing break.
Enjoy a pleasurable break away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, but in walking distance of the beach and town centre. Nestled in spacious gardens, guests can sit and enjoy the peaceful sub-tropical surroundings. A private path from the gardens leads to the promenade (300 yards) and Torre Abbey sands. All rooms are ensuite with colour tv teamaking , hairdryer and free Wifi internet connection.
All bedrooms are en-suite and some have sea views. Choose from standard or spacious superior rooms to suit your needs and budget. The Allerdale also offer free broadband throughout the hotel, so you are able to keep in touch with friends and family, or ideal for delegates visiting the conference centre.
There is also ample off road parking available for you to leave the car and enjoy the local area by foot. The Allerdale has a great chef who prepares all his meals from local produce and offers a wide variety of traditional English fayre, including a full English breakfast included in the room price.
The Allerdale has a well stocked bar for you enjoy, where you are able to sit and relax during your stay and have a game of snooker in the snooker room.
