The Sea Trout Inn is an idyllic, traditional Devon Inn dating back to the 15th Century situated in the beautiful surroundings of the Dart Valley, near Totnes. There are 10 luxury en suite bedrooms, a fine dining conservatory restaurant serving modern British cuisine and two individual bar areas serving freshly prepared, homemade, traditional pub food to a very high standard. Unfortunately , we are unable to accommodate children under 5 yrs. Children aged 5 - 12 yrs welcome.

i found most of it excellent. ALL the staff were excellent and a credit to the hotel.
Dislikes:
Slight complaint on sound in next door romm. however they were an elderly couple and with TV on full volume, otherwise no complaints at all.

The surrounding area has a lot to offer whether it be for a gentle walk along the River Dart, visiting local historical buildings such a Buckfast Abbey, or participating in one of the many outdoor activities like fishing, golf or shooting. Superbly located in the South Hams for exploring The English Riviera with Torquay being only a 15 minute drive away.
Wonderfully located for a restful weekend break, business meeting, lunch or a romantic dinner, The Sea Trout in Totnes is a welcoming and friendly place for all.
Dogs are welcome to stay at the Inn by prior arrangement only.
Stunning, unspoilt riverside walks along the River Dart and upto the Historic Staverton Bridge. Totnes with its castle and excellent specialist arts and crafts shops is within easy reach and can be visited via the Steam Train which runs directly from Staverton into Totnes.
Buckfast Abbey is also accessible via the Steam Train which runs directly from Staverton Station. Pennywell Farm, the Otter Sanctuary or one of the many National Trust properties, Blackpool Sands, Dartmouth Harbour, to name but a few are all within easy reach. The list is endless.
