Description

Self Assessed 4 Stars Guest House

Since re-opening in 2004 after extensive refurbishment, The Royal Inn has gained an enviable reputation for quality rooms, excellent beers and a menu which features the best of local and seasonal ingredients.

The Royal Inn is conveniently situated for Par railway station and the start of the branch line to Newquay. It is only 4 miles from The Eden Project and right in the heart of the Cornish Riviera. The village of Tywardreath is a short walk away and The Royal Inn is only 5 minutes from Par Sands, one of St Austell Bay's largest beaches. St Austell itself is a meeting point of old and new Cornwall, of ancient, narrow streets and smart pedestrian precincts with fine shops.

There are 15 newly created rooms, varying from standard to premier class with twin, king-size and super-king beds. All rooms are decorated to a high standard and have en-suites. There is a cosy and welcoming bar offering a genuinely different selection of real ales from local and national brewers and a good selection of lagers and world wines. The bar leads on to a two roomed restaurant – the first room is cosy with a beamed ceiling and the second room is a sunlit conservatory where breakfast is served.

The proprietors and staff pride themselves on providing a high standard of service to make your stay here as comfortable as possible and so if there is anything you require, please do not hesitate to ask.
