There was construction being to the front of the guest house done at the time of our stay. So it was not a great first impression. The room was also very small.

Hi debbie, we agree the scaffolding at the front is unsightly. We had to start stonework repairs and tried to time it over winter when we are quieter and because the storms wrecked the roof. It is finished now and the scaffolding is coming down on 9th february so will be looking gorgeous again by the 10th february. please come back again and ask for a bigger room and we will strive harder to help you have a brilliant stay

NB's has been awarded a 4 star award by the prestigious Automobile Association (AA) Accommodation Guide. The house was built in the late 1800s and has four floors. Renovations have been made throughout, but NB's still maintains much of the charm it would have many years ago.
The old original kitchen in the basement is now our luxury Garden Apartment. The ground floor dining room has been restored as best we could to the original Victorian style, although candles are now replaced with modern light bulbs! All rooms were completely renovated and refurbished in spring 2006.
Rooms are comfortable and welcoming, so you will be sure to be well rested.

With Princes Street just a 15 minute walk away, and Edinburgh Castle dominating the local skyline, the NB's Guest House really couldn't be more convenient for visitors wanting to fully experience Edinburgh at its historic and vibrant best.
We have car parking for 3 cars that can be pre-booked at a rate of £5 per day per car, or £10 during all peak times.
