Thank you for your comments. We love the peace and quiet here at Whitehouse, being 3 miles from the village, walks to the river are wonderful even on a wet day..Guests are welcome to leave their muddy boots in the porch or wash them off at the outside tap.. Our kippers from the breakfast menu are from Seahouses on the east coast, known as the birthplace of the kipper. Kipper is a strong tasting smoked fish, so not for everyone, although well worth trying

Roger and Angela Tyrer have been welcoming guests to Whitehouse for over 20 years and this handsome 19th century country house has become a byword for hospitality, comfort and relaxation.
