We arrived at 10.30pm and the hosts were their to receive us(we did get a little lost but they were on hand to guide us in).
The rooms were decorated to a very good standard and the beds were very comfortable indeed, being a business traveller its good to know that you are going to get a good nights sleep.
If you are staying for a business trip or on your
holidays then I would recommend this hotel. Read less

There has been a dwelling on this site for over four hundred years. The present establishment was built circa 1886. The guest house decor is designed on classic and traditional lines, blending in naturally with the local beauty and peaceful setting of Blarcreen.
Blarcreen is the perfect base for anyone who enjoys the peace and tranquility of the Scottish countryside. Oban and the surrounding area offers a wide range of activities from gentle strolls along the Loch shore to such sports as kayaking, mountain biking and gliding. If you have a particular interest then let us know and we will endeavour to find out more for you.
Each of our well appointed rooms boast an individual styling in both decor and furniture, with uninterrupted views across Loch Etive to the hills and mountains beyond. All have central heating, flat screen television with DVD and Sky TV, radio, tea and coffee making facilities.
A full cooked breakfast is served in the guest house dining room. In addition, there is a large private sitting room with a log fire, TV/DVD with a large selection of DVDs and small reading library.
