Description
Whether you want action packed activity, or just to relax and unwind, the Achray House Hotel and Lodges are ideal for a break away from the stresses and strains of modern life. With a choice between comfortable bedrooms in the hotel, or well appointed self catering lodges, you can choose accommodation to suit your mood.
Set in the tranquil village of St Fillans - in the heart of rural Perthshire – Achray House has spectacular views over Loch Earn to the hills beyond. Within the boundaries of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the hotel is an ideal base from which to explore the Southern Highlands of Scotland.
Walkers can choose from a host of low level walks, or over fifty Munro’s within an hour’s drive. There are also 35 golf courses within the same distance. Loch Earn and nearby rivers provide a wide range of watersports, and cyclists can choose from gentle rides to extreme mountain biking in the area. Fishing and field sports are also well catered for on the local lochs and estates.
Dining at Achray House is one of the highlights of the day. Enjoy fine food using the best local seasonal ingredients whilst you look out over the loch, followed perhaps by a glass of malt whisky from our extensive collection.
Your hosts, Alan and Jane Gibson and their team offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere, comfortable rooms with all facilities and excellent food and wine.

Environmental Statement
When you live a rural idyll as we do respecting the environment is both natural and sensible. Since buying Achray House in 2009 we have worked hard and invested significantly to go green. Our food is substantially locally sourced and much of it is grown or reared locally reducing food miles. We have replaced all our gas kitchen equipment with induction hobs which use substantially less energy, and have dramatically reduced our carbon footprint. Our buildings are all well insulated and most of our light bulbs are low energy, and we do not use unnecessary lighting for marketing purposes. We have installed flow limiting technology to minimise water wastage. We still have work to do, but our commitment to you that we will respect the environment in all our purchasing and our operating procedures, and our ongoing programmes of renewal and refurbishment will ensure that we continue to improve our environmental footprint.
