They brought me a paper while I was waiting for lunch - they told the taxi to wait while I was finishing eating - the bedroom was lovely - the breakfast was perfect - they let me stay in the room till it was time for my train ... Basically the most personalised welcoming service i have ever experienced . And the music session (thurs)was great too! Read less

We used public transport. Buses run frequently 5-10 mins walk away into Dundee. When I asked on arrival whether kippers might be available for breakfast, lo and behold the next morning they were:-)

In addition to the prestigious awards won for the quality of the Fishermans Taverns Hotels real ale and wine, the “Fish” recently gained accreditation from the Cask Marque group.
Not only is The Fisherman's Tavern Hotel one of the most renowned pubs in the East of Scotland but it also boasts some recently refurbished guest rooms. Your traditional Scottish breakfast is served in the Breakfast room boasting a real coal fire.There is also a Residents Lounge which provides unique hospitality and relaxation to be found at The Fishermans Tavern is yours to enjoy.
Our home cooked meals are served from 12pm untill 8pm, seven days a week. With a choice of family favourites such as steak pie, fresh beer battered haddock and our renowned arbroath smokie pie.
