This is the second visit we have made to Walnut Lodge. It is an excellent place to stay, exceptionally clean, very friendly proprietors,beautiful furnishings and the breakfasts are out of this world. No hesitation in recommending it to anyone. Far better than staying in large hotels which often have such an impersonal atmosphere and place the onus on making money before everything else. Read less

Dislikes:
Nothing at all! I know that you cannot please all people all of the time and that someone will find fault but it would be interesting to know what faults they find.

Clean & tidy, great bed, good furnitures, good food. close to most places in Torbay. Friendly staff. free interenet and satellite tv
Dislikes:
slow shower, small room but ok for a couple on short break. Small off road parking.

I would recommend Walnut Lodge to anyone wishing to stay in the Torbay area, and if I visit there again it's the first place I will look to book. Read less

An elegant and beautifully presented former Victorian property, offering quality accommodation in a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, Set in an ideal location, peaceful yet convenient, we are within 10 minutes walk to the wonderful beaches or 5 minutes walk to Tor Abbey gardens.
Ideally placed for the conference centre and leisure centre (10 minutes walk). The station is only a 2 minute taxi ride away. The town and marina are but a short 15 minute walk, for those wanting the vibrant bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. Torquay is an ideal base from which to visit other attractions in the South West such as Dartmouth, Totnes, Exeter (½ an Hour) or Plymouth (45 Minutes drive).
We can provide private free parking and there is WiFI internet access throughout. We look forward to welcoming you, and can g
