I stayed with my 10 year old son overnight at the Bay Trees Guest House. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure. The locations was good, the size and quality of the room excellent and the service was second to none. There was a flat screen Tv / Dvd player in the room, a hairdryer and a good size bathroom. Breakfast was a full english and the staff were polite, helpful and pleasant. We will definitely choose the Bay Trees if we stay in Southport again and would recommend it to others. Read less

The hotel is in a fairly quiet location and within short walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful without imposing, also flexible about breakfast times and room servicing. It is warm, clean and fairly comfortable. Parking facilities are good. This hotel only caters for breakfast and is not licenced. Read less

The room we stayed in was a good size, very clean and conveniently on the ground floor. It was also good value for money.
Dislikes:
The bed wasn't a full-size double (we know this because our own bed is an ordinary double and not king size) and for two tall, middle-aged people, was fairly uncomfortable.

Thank you for your comments.We are currently changing a twin bedded room into a kingsize and hope our guests will then be able to choose to upgrade from a standard double.

Events in Southport include music festivals all year round, shows and plays, Southport Flower Show and other gardening festivals, British Musical Firework display, Southport Air Show, carnivals and model shows and cinemas and theatres.
There are fourteen superb golf courses within easy reach of the hotel, including the internationally acclaimed Royal Birkdale Championship course. We will be happy to make all the necessary arrangements to make you golfing holiday a memorable experience.
A full English breakfast is provided, with a vegetarian option also available, and breakfast times are flexible to suit your needs. Conference delegates accommodated and families are welcome. Wedding parties can be catered for.
