Likes:
We actually went to a conference for the whole weekend, so did not spend much time in the hotel - it was just a 2 minute walk to the venue.
Dislikes:
The beds were not very comfortable (saggy and no springs)and the sausages for breakfast were cheap and nasty!

The Oban Hotel, famously situated on the sunshine coast, voted 'Best UK Resort 2006' is a traditional thirty-bedroom Victorian establishment, privately run with a wonderful relaxed family atmosphere.

We have a large but cosy lounge with a fully licensed bar, offering a variety of entertainment most evenings. The Grand Piano is a firm favourite for our private guests, who are welcome to play a tune or two should they wish to share their talents.

Our bedrooms, situated over five floors, have new sheets and blankets, tea & coffee making facilities, colour TV (some with LCD flat screens), radio, internal telephones, electric shaver points, hot water bottles and hairdryers. Ironing equipment and alarm clocks are available at reception. We can also provide an additional bed in suitable rooms. All floors are serviced by a lift for your convenience

The Compton Restaurant was newly refurbished in January 2006 and can accommodate up to fifty-five diners. Here you can indulge in a variety of delicious traditional dishes for breakfast and evening meals. The idyllic sun terrace and balcony with vast sun parasols and seaside plants & flora is fantastic for soaking up the sunshine, enjoying the sea view and watching the world go by with an iced tea or some light lunch.

The huge original Victorian windows bathe the guest lounge in the famous Eastbourne sunshine and provide breath-taking views of the sea and the pier!

Home to one of the UK's largest Marina's, Eastbourne's modern Sovereign Harbour has a variety of shops, restaurants and a multiplex cinema for a sophisticated day out or if you are looking for some serious retail therapy, why not try the Arndale shopping centre, just a ten minute walk away.

Fort Fun Family Park and Treasure Island Adventure Park are great for kids and adults alike with amusements such as adventure playgrounds, mini golf, and go-karts to keep families amused for hours.
