The MacPherson household would love to welcome you to their National award winning Guest House. When staying at the Stables Lodge, which is situated in a semi rural setting, you will find it hard to believe that the A1 is just 2 minutes away and that Newcastle City Centre is just a 10 minute drive. The Angel of the North and The Baltic Art Centre Gateshead, Beamish Museum and The Metro Centre are all also less than 10 minutes away.

The Stables Lodge is a luxury bed and breakfast situated in a semi rural setting on the outskirts of Newcastle/Gateshead. Its unique location and the reputation The Stables has earned make it desirable accommodation for Tourist and Corporate users alike. The Lodge being only half a mile from the A1 provides easy access to the Cities of Newcastle and Gateshead, with the Metro Centre and the Angel of the North only minutes away.
From the moment you arrive you will appreciate being somewhere rather special, where our people's commitment to making your stay both memorable and enjoyable is genuine and absolute. The Stables was converted by its current owners, and benefits from their interior design background, presenting a “Hunting Lodge” theme based around warm mellow colours, and colourful tartans and a host of facilities designed to enhance your comfort.
The emphasis is on great customer service and relaxation. After a hard day at work how would you like to indulge yourself with a Spa Bath or Sauna in the comfort of your own room (The Red Room) or soak in tranquillity in our new Hot Tub (The Garden Room)? We will provide you with complimentary Molton Brown toiletries, bath robes and guest slippers to enable you to relax, unwind and make yourself truly feel at home in an informal yet stylish atmosphere.
For breakfast choose from Full Traditional English Breakfast or opt for a lighter option of cereals, fruits in season, local cheeses and freshly baked croissants. Luxury breakfasts are available upon request.
Winners of the AA Guest Accommodation of the year for England 2008-2009, Winners of North East England Tourism Awards 2008 - Gold for B&B/Guest Accommodation of the Year, and Silver Award for Outstanding Customer Services.
