Russell's calls itself "a restaurant with rooms" and that sums up the experience perfectly. It is first and foremost a restaurant; that is clearly their passion and it's the reason to make it a destination. The rooms are very stylish and very good value for money, but they are the owners' number two priority. Read less
Likes:
The prix fixe dinner was outstanding, and very reasonably priced.
Dislikes:
The room we stayed in is beginning to show a few signs of wear, and perhaps not as clean as it could be. Still an 8 out of 10, but not the 10 out of 10 it was when we stayed three or four years ago.

"Great Room"
Had a really good time at Russell's. Room 3 was very spacious (although a little noisy during the night - it backs onto a supermaket delivery area). Food was superb. The dinner bed and breakfast rate only included an allowance towards your evening meal,so expect to pay more at check out for your evening meal. It is worth it though. Would I go back? Yes, Absolutely. The staff were most pleasant and it really is very relaxing there. Read less

The location

Coffee machine and MILK outside room, would have liked to have made coffee INSIDE the room, not just tea.

Situated amongst the honey-coloured stone buildings in the pretty Cotswold village of Broadway, Russell’s – the award-winning restaurant with rooms – is one of rural England’s most chic places to eat and stay. Delicious British food is served in relaxed surroundings with seven stylish guest rooms located just upstairs, all set in the former headquarters of world-famous furniture manufacturer, Gordon Russell.

All bedrooms, including one suite, are individually designed, using luxurious fabrics and furnishings, which perfectly complement the natural stone and wooden features that are an intregal part of the original building. Wide screen televisions, dvd players and ipod docks are in all bedrooms, as well as luxurious bedding and stunning bathrooms, to ensure that your stay is comfortable, relaxing and pampering.

Our modern, airy restaurant has a reputation as an award-winning, stylish place to eat. It serves 60 covers as well as a 12-place private dining room, which is perfect for parties and small gatherings. We also offer al fresco dining in our quiet courtyard or front patio. We serve modern British food, from breakfast through lunch to dinner (closed on Sundays for dinner), using only the finest ingredients, with local produce whenever possible.

Broadway is one of England's prettiest villages and is the ideal base for visiting the many nearby Cotswold villages, as well as Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon, with the world famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Shakespeare's houses. Broadway itself is full of antique shops, art galleries and individual stylish boutiques. Just cross the road from Russell's and you can walk amongst the beautiful rolling Cotswold Hills, without even having to get into your car. We have on-site car parking for all residents.
