"Inviting and very friendly"
We stayed 2 nights at this charming guest house, it is perfectly located for all the main attractions within the Matlock bath area. The choice for breakfast was huge and it kept us going all day, we did not eat again until 6.30 in the evening and even then we were not really hungry.
The land lady was extremely friendly and very helpful with directions on where to eat, what to see etc...
The guest house itself was full of charm with a huge welcoming fire in the lounge to greet us.Exceptional. Read less

"Cosy guesthouse in great location for the Peak District"
Very friendly welcome on arrival. Our room was of an excellent standard and very clean with facilities as indicated. Service and breakfast very good with nothing seemingly too much trouble. The only small negative is the intrusion of some road noise due to the Pig of Lead's location next to a main route, although this was only apparent on a weekday. Read less

"Brilliant! I Would Definitely return."
A really great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful hostess. I cannot fault the place or service provided. My dad and I are vegetarian and vegan and were particularly impressed that this was in no way a problem, we thoroughly enjoyed our veggie breakfasts. We even received specially made vegan biscuits with our cup of tea/coffee on arrival! The location is great for people who enjoy walking as it is in a pictureque village with many footpaths, the village also has two friendly pubs. Read less
