AA 5 Stars Guest House

A family run Victorian country guest house ideally situated close to Chatsworth and Haddon Hall and enjoying simply superb uniterrupted views over the Derwent Valley. Our aim is to provide outstanding personal service which has recently been reflected in the 5 gold star, highly acclaimed awarded by the AA . We aim to give all guests the luxuries of a top class hotel with the personal service and attention of the very best in guest house accommodation.

All of the bedrooms are individually designed and decorated and are all, of course, en suite. Every imaginable extra has been provided to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible and, combined with the personal service of the resident owners, Kate and Geoff, ensures that many visitors return year after year.

Excellent evening meals are provided most evenings with the exception of Sunday and are homemade from locally sourced products, receiving the good food award by the AA. Advance notice of your menu choices are required for your first evening, a copy of our menu can be found on our website or email us for a copy to be forwarded on to you.

Teetering on the edge of the Peak District, there are many sights to see, and many activities to indulge in, such as gorge rambling, canoeing, rock climbing, walking and cycling. The views are second to none, and offer a breathtaking sight of an unspoilt corner of England. There are many places to visit in the area not least of which has to be Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, both easily reached within a twn minute drive. Bus services are also to hand with the nearest stop about a quarter of a mile away.
