"It's true what they say about Northumberland beaches."
My husband and I stayed at Dechant Farm over the autumn half term but found total peace and tranquility in a beautiful setting with a view of Lindifarne from by breakfast table. The Farm was situated perfectly for visits to Holy Island, Bamburgh, Seahouses and was a short drive to Alnwick. Our favourite beach accessible from Ross only a short drive away. We visited the Cheviots and Chillingham Castle well worth a visit if you like something querky/different.No problem filling 5 days, will go back. Read less
Likes:
The walks along the beaches and around the headland on Lindisfarne and a meal we had in Bamburgh at Blackets, superb. May have to book in high season we were lucky to get a table.
Dislikes:
It rained one day, but still had enough to keep us entertained in Alnwick, oh and a meal we had in the Blue Bell in Belford avoid if you enjoy food!!!!

Please note that on the weekend we have a 2 nights stay minimum requirement
We offer three comfortable recently refurbished rooms; one twin room and two double rooms, each having television, hair dryers and tea and coffee making facilities.
One of the double rooms has private facilities and the other is en suite, both looking over rolling farmland.
The twin room is en-suite with the most fantastic, uninterrupted view to the coast and Lindisfarne (Holy Island).
A wide choice of breakfast is available to suit everyone's taste using locally produced ingredients. The farm has it's own free range hens under the RSPCA's 'Freedom Foods' scheme.

We are situated 2.5 miles from the old market town of Belford, which was once a stopping off point for coaches on their way to Edinburgh along the Great North Road.
Centrally located for most market towns in north Northumberland, we are 15 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed with its famous Elizabethan ramparts, 16 miles from Alnwick, renowned for the Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle made famous by Harry Potter movies. Detchant is within easy reach of all 7 Northumbrian Castles, Lindisfarne and only a stone's throw from the majestic coastline where beautiful white sandy beaches await you.
