This is an excellent place to stay. We had the large double room situated in the converted attic. This room was immaculate and the views across the surrounding farmland were magnificent. Our host Ricky was extremely friendly and had plenty of useful sightseeing tips and local area knowledge. Our breakfast each morning set us up for the day perfectly and the views from the table were great. The B&B is nicely placed for trips along the Northumberland coast from Newcastle to Berwick and beyond. Read less

The cottage boasts an ideal location in Northumberland, ideally situated for Alnwick, Amble, Rothbury and Morpeth. Cyclists, golfers or fishing enthusiasts will find plenty to explore. Wildlife sanctuaries can be found at Newton, Hauxley or the infamous Farne Islands. Travel to Northumbria and discover long sandy beaches ideal for walking or just relaxing which can be found the length of the Northumberland coast line at Amble, Alnmouth Warkworth Craster and Bamburgh.
Along with the extensively refurbished gardens at Alnwick castle there is also a massive tree house which the Duchess has created at one end of the garden not only for fun but for educational purposes, with features built into the house to help children learn as they go around. Picturesque villages such as Rothbury, Seahouses, Alnmouth, Amble or Wooler are all waiting to be visited where a hearty welcome awaits you.
North East England has many attractions and Cragside Hall, Warkworth Castle and Chillingham Castle are all close by tourist attractions in Northumberland. The bed and breakfast is within 2 miles of the A1 which means all areas of North East England are easily accessible.
