"A wonderful short stay in the unique Glenan Lodge Guest House, Tomatin near Inverness."
What wonderful hospitality and top class customer service! This lovely establishment is homely and equipped with everything a visitor requires. It is run by a very friendly, interesting, helpful cosmopolitan couple. The food was absolutely delicious. We are still telling our friends/family about it. We have high standards and have stayed in hotels/guest houses all over the world. We would therefore highly recommend this establishment. It was value for money and we are planning to return this year. Read less

It's difficult to choose just one thing because there's too many thing to like i.e. the welcome, the ambience, the friendliness, delectable food, well stocked bar,the customer service and the location.
Dislikes:
There was nothing to dislike at all! We only regret not having discovered Glenan Lodge before now. It's not always easy to find such an establishment. It exceeded our expectations by far!
Response from Glenan Lodge Guest House:
Thank you, we aim to please. Look foward to seeing you again.

Glenan Lodge is a traditional Scottish Country Guest House ideally situated on the edge of the village of Tomatin 16 miles from the city of Inverness. The area is ideal for golf, shooting, fishing, bird-watching, hill walking, cycling, skiing or just relaxing, whether passing through or using Glenan Lodge Guest House accommodation as your base.
Glenan Lodge Guest House accommodation is situated just 1/2 mile off cycle route 7 which runs from Inverness to Perth. For the fly-fishing enthusiast we have a 2 mile beat on the river Findhorn available to our guests for some of the finest salmon and wild brown trout fishing in the area. Scotland's 2nd largest malt whisky distillery is within walking distance of the Lodge and the village shop, post office and pub are only a short drive away. Many places of historical interest are also close by including Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle and, of course, Loch Ness, Skye and John O' Groats can also make a great day out as can Balmoral, the Queen's Summer residence.
Tomatin is midway between the skiing centre of Aviemore and the City of Inverness, capital of Highlands. An ideal base for exploring this most beautiful part of the UK. There is also our guesthouse residents lounge - the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the local area of Tomatin and Inverness. The guesthouse dining room is where you will be treated to a traditional breakfast and also an evening meal if you wish. There is also storage available for cycles.
