Set in beautiful countryside halfway between Telford and Shrewsbury, The Wroxeter Hotel enjoys easy access from the A5 and M54. With modern and well appointed bedrooms, extensive banqueting and conferencing facilities and two acclaimed restaurants, we are popular for weddings and parties as well as for business.
The Hotel is family run and excels in personal service. Within walking distance is the Roman site of Viriconium, Wroxeter's Anglo Saxon church and the most northerly red grape vineyard in the World. Within easy reach are the Shropshire hills, Welsh marshes and popular sites such as the Ironbridge Gorge and associated World Heritage Site.
A haven of peace at the end of your busy day to relax, recover and prepare for the next one.
Set in the heart of rural Shropshire, but conveniently close to Telford and Shrewsbury, the Wroxeter Hotel has a new accommodation wing of 15 well appointed modern bedrooms - many with stunning views of the countryside.
Our Restaurant serves contemporary British food with local flavours. Naturally Sabrina, Roman Goddess of The River Severn, Vineyard grapes and wine, local produce and tradition have all influenced Chef Paul Marshall and the Team in the creation of our restaurant menu. On Sundays we specialise in silver served roast meats with traditionally cooked fresh vegetables. We also offer informal light bites, treats and sandwiches in our reception lounge and bar.
We aim to make your stay hassle free and give you the break you deserve – lets face it, there have be some compensations for being away from home. We feel sure that if you visit on business, you will want to return with your family to enjoy the beauty and historic interest of this rural gem.
