Description
Welcome to Yaxham Mill, which is within easy reach of the Norfolk Broads, Cromer, Holt, Great Yarmouth and of course only 12 miles away from the Cathedral City of Norwich, the capital of Norfolk. Completely renovated from scratch over the last 10 years the Yaxham Mill now consists of a restaurant, bar and superb accommodation.
Norfolk’s countryside is sprinkled with pretty little villages, each with their own individual character. Some are quiet and unassuming, yet turn a corner and you’ll stumble across hidden gems such as thatched roofs, flint-fronted houses or fisherman’s cottages. From make-believe roars at the dinosaur park to real roars at our award-winning zoos; from oohs and aahs at the cuddly animal centres to a pure adrenalin rush as they experience the rides at the Pleasure Beach; Norfolk’s just one big adventure playground.
Adults have fun too - explore Norfolk’s grand stately homes and HM The Queen’s country residence, wander round age-old castles and priories, climb up to the top of Norfolk’s working windmills, visit peaceful water gardens and specialist plant centres and then stop off for a welcome cup of tea and delicious piece of cake.
Learn to sail, ride, fly or windsurf- Norfolk’s a place to be active. Or simply enjoy walking, cycling and swimming – our natural attractions make any outdoor activity a pure pleasure.
Five cottages, all with shower rooms, TV, hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities. The Yaxham Mill provide surroundings for a quiet drink, delightful home cooked meals consisting of a regular menu to suit everyone's tastes and, of course, daily specials.
Please note that the bar and restaurant will be closed for refurbishment from 21st October to 1st December 2011. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. This will not affect the serving of breakfasts which will be served in the breakfast room of the Mill Tower.
