The Eden Valley is an area of outstanding natural beauty between the English Lake District and the Pennines and one of it's finest, and most peaceful, villages is Temple Sowerby, home to Temple Sowerby House Hotel. Dating back to 1700's, and now with just 12 individually styled bedrooms, elegant reception rooms, a peaceful walled garden and an award-winning restaurant. Our restaurant has been awarded Two AA Rosettes and offers a superb range of local produce including lamb from the fells, beef and pork from nearby farms, game from neighbouring estates, seafood from the north-western coast and regionally produced cheeses. The beauty of the English Lake District, especially Ullswater, the wild and rugged terrain of the Pennines and the sublime rural landscapes of the Eden Valley are just some of the outstanding natural attractions to be experienced from Temple Sowerby House. The quiet roads are ideal for touring or cycling whilst the countryside and fells provide excellent walking opportunities for all ages and abilities. The River Eden itself has some of the best trout fishing in the country. Please Note: Check in Time 15:00, Check out 11:00am. Pets and children under 12 not permitted.
