"Old fashioned charm, don't expect mod-cons and you'll be happy."
A Victorian hotel set in a beautiful location. We stayed in winter (snowy mountains all around) and it was evident that there's not much trade at this time of year. It incorporates a tea-room for day visitors to the falls and we initially mistook the room for a restaurant, thinking it looked rather bland. We were mistaken, the main restaurant was in another room with finer decoration and of a very good standard. The rooms were a bit 'tired' but quaint and very clean. Location, unpretentiousness, value for money, cleanliness, friendliness.
Dislikes:
Creaky , saggy beds. And that big empty tearoom with plastic table covers between the reception and bar.

The Hafod Hotel stands alongside the "Devils bridge" at the head of the dramatic waterfalls. It overlooks the spectacular wooded gorges of the Mynach and Rheidol rivers. The Hafod Hotel makes an excellent base for a short break or long holiday. The Restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere which specialises in fine dining and local seasonal produce.The restaurant itself is perfectly suited for family gatherings and romantic dining, as it presents the perfect atmosphere for guests to enjoy.

The Victorian Tea Room serves snacks and bar meals throughout the day and is open in the evening for family bar meals or just relaxing at the Pool Table.

Location: There is an abundance of wildlife on the property. Red Kites can regularly be seen over the Gorge and there are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from the 4 acres of garden at the rear of the Hotel.

Special circumstances: please notify our staff if you request any special needs. Please Note: A well-behaved dog is welcome and is free of charge, Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Hotel The essential character of the hotel produces intrinsic access difficulties.
