No 1 is a friendly comfortable Bed and Breakfast with a four star rating from the AA. All rooms are en suite and have television and tea and coffee making facilities. We do not take contractors and they may be turned away at the door.

No 1 is situated on the edge of Carlisle the great Border City. The Brampton Road Campus is a 5 min walk away. The Caste Sands Centre and City Centre are a 10 to fifteen minuet walk away as is the Hadrians Wall Path. The house is situated on the line of the Roman Wall. The lake district is within easy reach as is Scotland . Gretna Green is only seven miles away. The Lanes in the city centre offers an abundance of shopping. The Cathedral and Tullie Hose are well worth seeing.
