Likes:
The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with plenty of exposed beams and there's an old oak staircase to the first floor. The 'full english' breakfast is delicious, with locally sourced produce.
Dislikes:
There's nothing to dislike!We stayed several years ago when fantastic evening meals were available,but now it's just B and B so you need to go out to eat. However, there are plenty of pubs nearby.

Built as a Gentleman's House in 1632 from reclaimed Caen stone, local flint and fine oak timbers with mullioned windows, wide inglenook hearths with log fires and generously proportioned rooms this old Mayor's home has entertained guests for centuries.
The character of the house has been carefully preserved to retain the best features and each comfortable room meets the exacting needs of the modern traveller.
The individual bedrooms feature superb beds made up with Egyptian cotton sheets and have direct dial telephone, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities; whilst the bathrooms boast powerful showers, large baths some with spa/whirlpool bath and fluffy towels.
Catton Old Hall Guest House is the perfect base for visiting the Norwich Cathedral, The Forum, the Norman Castle, Norwich Market, riverside walks, numerous restaurants and bars, theatres, antique shops, books shops and two shopping malls .
The Old Hall is ideally placed for exploring the Norfolk countryside and the Norfolk Broads for sailing, bird watching, walking, fishing and golf.
