The ensuite room was comfortable with a freeview television and refreshments provided. The breakfast is extra and includes a full English breakfast with cereals and fruit juice available
Dislikes:
We did not dislike anything about our two night stay.

Convenient place to stay.
Dislikes:
No hot water or heating over night.
Response from Plas Elwy Hotel:
Unfortunately the pilot light of the central heating boiler went out and nobody informed us of the lack of heating until the next morning. The problem was rectified as soon as we were notified.

Plas Elwy Hotel is a small, friendly, family-run hotel providing modern facilities and the comfort expected of a 2 star hotel, yet still retaining the character and atmosphere of a property dating back to 1850. The hotel is situated on the edge of St Asaph, just off the main A55 Chester to North Wales route. We are ideally situated as a base for exploring the North Wales countryside with many places of beauty and historical interest, and also within a few minutes drive from the popular seaside towns of Prestatyn, Rhyl and Colwyn Bay. The spectacular National Park of Snowdonia is within 45 minutes drive and the beautiful Roman city of Chester, with its excellent shopping is less than 30 minutes distance. There are nine golf courses in a fifteen mile radius. St Asaph is centrally situated for all places of beauty, historical interest and coastal attractions in North Wales. The hotel has thirteen bedrooms in total, seven in the main building and a further six executive rooms in Plas Elwy Lodge which is situated at the rear of the main building. The rooms in the main hotel building provide accommodation which retains the character of the old building, whereas the accommodation in Plas Elwy Lodge is more spacious, of a modern style and with a higher level of facilities.
