Breakfast was ok, & they did move us to another room when we complained that TV was broken. Only some channels worked in new room, but better than none, as weather bad and we didn't go out much.
Dislikes:
Small rooms, tiny corridors, level of cleanliness, TV not working, tiny bathroom.

Our hotel building is over 100 years old and we are unable to alter the corridor width without losing space in the rooms. They are still at least 1 metre wide. The stairs are standard yet a lift is also provided. We have a variety of different sized rooms, some are smaller and are meant for singles. We do have disabled access rooms yet we must be made aware that one is required. Our lift is large enough for a standard wheelchair. Unfortunately we have had some problems with our Freeview boxes

I booked the room as a treat for my girlfriend who has recently started a very stressful job, and was very excited about a night to see the illuminations. However, the small print stating you must specify if you want a non-smoking room caught us out. Assuming we'd be in a non-smoking room, we opened our door to the disgusting smell of stale smoke, a smell so bad it reduced my girlfriend to tears, utterly disgusting & unacceptable. Unhelpful staff who only wanted our money. Avoid like the plague! Read less

We do not allow smoking in any public area. Smoking rooms are available for those that request, but unfortunately if we are completely full we must allocate those rooms to those who haven't requested them. I understand this was the case for this guest and we can only apologise. Every guest has the option to move elsewhere if they desire and a refund provided if warranted. Check in/out times are standard throughout the industry.

We accept one night only bookings throughout most of the year, however we are only open weekends from January until Easter, except Feb 15-22 (open all week). 2 night minimum at Easter & Bank Holidays. 3 night minimum Magician's Conference (starting 18 Feb) 4 night minimum over May Dance Festival.
Prices are reduced per night when booking for 2 nights or more. Some dates have 3 for 2 Special Offers.

The Award Winning La Tour is located in Blackpool town centre, within easy walking distance of the Winter Gardens & Opera House, Blackpool Tower, the Promenade and beach, three piers, excellent shopping including the new Debenhams and extended shopping centre and most of the town's entertainment and transport centres. One night only acceptable, 2 night minimum over Bank Holidays including Easter, 3 night minimum Magicians Conference, 4 night minimum May Dance Festival. Please contact us directly if our pages show no availability. All bookings are for room only.
Most rooms have recently been modernised and redecorated; all have en suite facilities (toilet & shower, sorry no baths), towels and soap, colour TV with Freeview, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer & alarm clock. Rooms are serviced daily. We have a lift to all floors and a wheelchair ramp at the front of the property. Some rooms are wheelchair accessible (quads only). We have some smoking rooms available on the second floor, these require negotiating some stairs and are not suitable for those with mobility problems.
We are within 5 minutes walk of numerous public car parks (various charges). We are fully licensed & offer Wi-Fi internet access in the public areas. We were awarded Blackpool Tourism Department's Hotel of the Year Gold Award in 2000 and the Silver Award in 2001 (36-99 bedrooms). We were recently accredited as a 3 Star Guest Accommodation from the Visit Britain Quality in Tourism department.
Blackpool has its own airport (10 mins drive) with national & international flights; Blackpool North train station is about 5 minutes walk away. Other attractions include: Blackpool Zoo & Dinosaur Safari (10 mins by bus); Grosvenor and Paris Casino's; the world famous Golden Mile; Blackpool Pleasure Beach & Sandcastle Waterworld (20 mins by tram); Dr Who Museum; Louis Tussaud's Waxworks, Blackpool Grand Theatre and Blackpool Sea Life Centre (5 mins walk).
Environmental Statement
It is the guests choice to have their towels changed every day or to re-use them by hanging them on the towel rail. We request that guests turn off all electrical equipment when they leave their room and that water is used responsibly. All our radiators are thermostatically controlled so you can make sure the temperature of your room is comfortable for you. All rooms are double glazed and have windows that open without the use of a key. All rooms have duvets rather than blankets, but we do have a small number of blankets available if you prefer. We have recently installed Freeview in our rooms and request that these are also switched off when you leave the room.
