Highcliffe House is an award winning, AA & Visit Britain five star Exmoor Bed & Breakfast providing elegant and romantic ensuite luxury accommodation within Exmoor National Park. Originally built as a Victorian summer residence with high ceilings and many original features, each individually designed room has stunning sea views to take your breath away.
The house has been subject to an ongoing major refurbishment project since 2005 and is situated in an acre of garden and woodland overlooking and within a short walking distance of Lynton and Lynmouth. We offer an oasis of calm exclusively for adults to relax and unwind whilst discovering the magnificence of Exmoor with its high sea cliffs and steeply wooded valleys and waterfalls. An ideal escape for a romantic weekend or walking break, we are situated within a five minute walk of the South West Coastal Path.
On arrival you can choose to enjoy with our compliments an afternoon Devon cream tea with home made scones and clotted cream or if you arrive a little later a drink from the bar to welcome you. Enjoy an award winning cooked breakfast made with locally sourced produce whilst sitting in our conservatory breakfast room with stunning panoramic views of the Exmoor hills and coastline. Choose from a buffet of organic cereals, fresh fruit and juices plus homemade bread.
We have ample free car parking on site and internet access. Highcliffe House is exclusively for adults and is a completely non smoking property.
Environmental Statement
Highcliffe House is set amongst a landscape of breathtaking outstanding natural beauty within the national park on the coast of Exmoor, North Devon. We are committed to the preservation of this beautiful part of England at its best and there is great emphasis form the National Park Authority to help it stay that way. It is of the utmost importance that we support the local economy and the abundance of good local produce makes that easy to do. We have made every change that is possible and practical to make within the constraints of a period building in a conservation area. We recycle everything that NDDC will permit and the garden is eco friendly with a large proportion made over to natural woodland. Exmoor's majestic and unspoilt landscape can only be preserved through the commitment and support of sustainable tourism and we want you to be able to enjoy this incredible part of the UK for many years to come.
