The Charterhouse

A beautiful Edwardian 4 Star Visit Britain Accredited Guest Accommodation set in the stunning location of Cockington Lane less than 3/4 of a mile from the historic Saxon thatched village of Cockington and its delightful Country Park.

Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Torquay but close enough to take a walk along the sea front and enjoy the town centre with its shops, restaurants, theatre and marina. Ideally located to enjoy the local coastal paths or try one of the regular boat trips to Brixham, Dartmouth and Greenways the summer home of Agatha Christie.

With individual rooms to include Superior Sea View rooms, double or twin rooms, family suites of interconnecting rooms and two garden rooms in which guests may bring a small dog by prior arrangement. All our rooms offer en suite shower rooms, many having been recently refurbished with larger showers enclosures. Two of our rooms have bathroom en suites with additional shower enclosure. All rooms also have digital flat screen free view televisions, complimentary luxury toiletries and a hospitality tray which is refreshed daily. Our delicious breakfasts have been described by our guests as a feast. Offering a continental selection in addition to our traditional English cooked breakfast which includes superior local sausages and bacon. Kippers and smoked haddock are also available and we are able to cater for vegetarian and gluten free alternatives. Free wifi throughout.

The Charterhouse has delightful mature, secluded gardens with a small outdoor pool which is heated during the summer months. Free car parking is available in our large car park and for our business visitors or those wishing to stay in touch on the internet, we offer free wi fi.
