"The Best in Ayr, Scotland!"
Our stay at the Burnside was a Feb. weekend getaway from the London area. We have stayed at a few bed & breakfasts through the years. The proprietess of the Burnside was by far the most gracious, accomodating, warm and discerning of all. The accomodations were superior. I found the bed conducive to a great night's sleep. It was impeccably clean. The view from room #5 of the Isle of Arran a delight. Breakfast was exceptional! I look forward to our return!! Read less

My favorite part of the Burnside was the friendly and gracious hostess, Liz. She went the extra mile! As a local, she was well connected and knowledgable regarding excursions. She was a delight!!
Dislikes:
One tiny little thing, the house was on a timer for heat, I believe. In the late afternoon, it got a little chilly, but warmed for bedtime. Liz would have rectified it if I'd mentioned it.

"Excellent Value For Money With Very Friendly Host"
Could not ask for a more friendly service from arrival to departure. Accommodation comprised of a single room with ensuite shower room which was over and above what I am normally used to. TV had a built in DVD player and there was a large range of films that could be loaned for viewing from the owner, again a nice touch I thought. Breakfast was lovely and plate full, there was that much I had to loosen my belt on my trousers for a while. Read less
