On arrival we were very pleased with the amount of space for guest parking and the security features. We were welcomed by a friendly owner and offered a cup of tea and shown to the room. The room was very spacious with a very big ensuite shower room. A continental breakfast was included in the room rate, but a full cooked breakfast could be ordered the night before for a small extra charge. The relaxed nature of having access to the breakfast room to make drinks at any time during the evening with fresh milk in the fridge. No UHT plastic pots here! Nice to have the space.
Dislikes:
If I was the owner I would invest in new towels, but then value for money is important and the towels provided were pefectly adequate, just a little tired looking.

Waiting for someone to come and unlock the door. Not seeing anyone at all. Breakfast left for you was fine but would have been nice for someone to check all ok.

The heating in the rooms had not been switched on so we had a cold reception. We discovered (the following morning) that there was no hot water as the heaters had tripped so we had no showers etc. Th
Response from Bramble Grange:
As it was a warm day we don't turn on the heaters in the room, it is left to guests should they choose and takes minutes to become hot as very efficient. The hot water was unfortunate, and I apologised immediately and reset the water heater as soon as the problem was brought to my attention. Operating instructions for the television are in the bedside draw. The breakfast did not benefit from having waited 20 minutes after it was prepared as guests were late coming in.

Bramble Grange offers well-equipped spacious accommodation just outside the village of Steventon. Set in 12 acres of land, Bramble Grange offers ample off-road parking.
Steventon is ideally situated for Milton Park, Harwell, Rutherford Laboratory and Abingdon, as well as being only 15 minutes from Oxford. Our rooms suit both business people working locally, and those looking for a country break, within easy distance of many local tourist attractions such as Oxford City, Blenheim Palace, White Horse hill and the Downs.
We have a selection of rooms in the house and annexe, most of which are en-suite. Our garden annex offers flexible linked rooms, well suited for a family or group booking.
Drink making facilities include a variety of English & Speciality teas, coffee - including decaffeinated and hot chocolate, fresh milk is also available. These are complimentary and available 24 hours a day.
All rooms are ground floor and easily accessed for guests with limited mobility - if you have special access requirements please let us know when booking. Bramble Grange is beautifully furnished and decorated throughout and with its non smoking policy provides a comfortable, clean living environment.
Continental breakfasts are included and Full English breakfasts are available for £5 a person. Special dietary requirements are catered for with advance notice.
Wi-Fi is available on request.
Please note, we are not a suitable location for guests who don't have their own transport, we are approximately 1 1/2 miles from the nearest pub, bus-stop etc.
Children under 5 are not accepted unless by prior arrangement.
