Likes:
It was very clean, and homely with everything we needed. The bed was so comfy and we had a fab nights sleep. Brilliant stay.
Dislikes:
The only tiny thing would be there was no control to switch the heating on. but we found it warmed up once we were settled.

"Overnight stay for the Kielder Water Marathon"
Wasn't sure what to expect as the website only shows a picture of the bedroom and no external views. Thought it was a caravan as the site says 'Lodges and Caravans'. Room smelt a little of damp when we first went in but disappeared after heating had been on a while. Room was adequate for our needs for one nights stay and clean. Couldn't get any hot water for a bath and there was no soap. Read less
Likes:
Chose the accommodation as it appeared to be close to Kielder Water for the marathon but it was further than we had expected. However, thought it was value for money as we only required one night.
Dislikes:
Not really but couldn't stay for more than one night as there are no windows and would feel claustraphobic.

There is an abundance of wildlife, numerous walks and nature trails, also direct access to the famous Pennine Way.
We are ideally situated to explore the stunning scenery in and around Northumberland and the border country which is steeped in a sometimes turbulent and violent history, for example the Battle of Otterburn in 1388 where an English army under Sir Henry Percy fought an army of Scottish knights under the Earl of Douglas.

Only a short drive away is the famous Hadrians Wall, built by the Roman emperor Hadrian around 122 AD. Travelling in the other direction is the Heritage Coast with beautiful beaches.
Or just simply relax on the holiday park and savour the now peaceful views without going anywhere.

Please take time to view our pages as we also provide self catering accommodation in our Border Forest country cottage or our Timber Lodge, these later types of accommodation are open all year round.
