Alnwick and Northumberland as a whole offer some wonderful, local and organic foods and we source as much as we can locally. Since the quality of the breakfast is such an important part of staying in a Bed and Breakfast, we pride ourselves on offering you the freshest quality, cooked with care. This attention to quality and detail has recently led us to being awarded an ‘eggcup’ by the AA for breakfast excellence.
We are happy to cater for special diets if we are notified in advance.

The primary aim in our rooms is your comfort – a home from home. All our bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms with cosy white bath sheets and a range of indulgent toiletries and soaps. The bedrooms all have the usual facilities such as central heating, colour television, hair dryer, radio/alarm clock and a well-stocked hospitality tray provides a range of teas and coffee, fresh milk, home-made biscuits or cake. Bedrooms are available either in the main house or in the coach house annexe, immediately behind the house.

There is a guest lounge available with comfortable chairs, colour television with video and DVD player and a wide range of local literature, magazines and books to browse and enjoy during your stay. The dining room is charming and restful with a beautiful and intricately carved fireplace and grate. A room to relax and linger over breakfast.

Anne is a qualified herbalist and aromatherapist and can offer relaxing and de-stressing aromatherapy massages to guests, if pre-booked.

Alnwick is an excellent base from which to explore the unspoilt, beautiful and varied countryside of north Northumberland. There are numerous walks and the Northumberland coast has beautiful, unspoilt beaches which stretch for miles with white/golden sand. Whether you enjoy walking, building sandcastles or bird watching, there are activities for everyone.
