The friendliness of the staff.
Dislikes:
the room next door left their TV on full blast all night, so even though we didn't get in till late ourselves, we couldn't really sleep because of it. This of course is not the belmonts fault at all.

Our host was most helpful about the local area and lent us a guide book which we used for a walk at Slapton Ley nature reserve - which was beautiful despite the weather!
Dislikes:
Hotel is on a very busy road by traffic lights so it was very noisy. Parts of the window catches were missing which meant we could not shut them tight and keep out the noise. No chair in the bedroom.

Excellent ensuite rooms and quality home cooked food. The visitors lounge is a welcome relief at the end of a busy day either to relax, read or simply enjoy the company of new friends. The bedroom designs reflect their individuality but retain their spaciousness and character. The high standards of our rooms are complimented with up to date equipment including LCD Digital Freeview TV's, complimentary beverage facilities and full central heating. Enjoy our quality home cooked breakfasts served at separate tables in our well equipped dining room. We can cater for all dietry requirements including a full continental breakfast if required.
We are only a short stroll away from the beach and the high street. The belmont also offers a free Wi-Fi connection in the lounge to any guest that requires it.
