"FABULOUS!"
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Balciuin. The Owner was Wonderful. She met us at the door with a warm welcome and soon become a friend. She was very helpful with information and leaflets about things to see locally and put us on to a few Really Great eating places. Breakfast was really nice with fresh fruit every morning before out hot breakfast, and the Breakfast room was absolutely Perfect for looking out at the beautiful landscape. Our room was spacious and very clean. Read less

The thing we liked best about the B&B was our Hostess Trish. She went out of her way to make sure our experience with her and in the Highlands was the Best it could possibly be.
Dislikes:
There wasn't anything we didn't like about our stay. The only thing I can think of mentioning is the firm bed. I prefer a softer bed but that's not a fault of the B&B, just my personal preference.
Response from Balciuin B&B:
Hi Will and Patti. I have only just read your glowing report. Thank you so much, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with me. I have only just opened for the season as I had various committments this winter, so am now trying to get back into routine and collect togather all the information my guests may need. I do hope you get to visit again especially as I have put a mattress topper on the bed you were in which should make it more to your liking. Vert best wishes, Trish

The spacious en- suite is off the double room. All units have easy chairs, a remote control television with DVD player, radio alarm, hospitality tray, hairdryer, room heaters, and shaving points in the shower rooms. It is also possible to walk from Balciuin to Braemar through the mountains without crossing a single road! For the less active it is only a 3-4 minute walk to one of the new red squirrel feeding stations on the lovely riverside walk which follows the river Nethy to the centre of the village.
