The chilled out atmosphere of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff when we arrived on the Friday night (thanks for helping us work out how to plug the telly in Heidi!) Unusual and quirky decor.

Artist Residence Hotel has a brand new, dynamic exhibition space set up on its ground floor. It's already in use and soon to be developed into a larger space in the coming year.
Unpretentious and unforced, the anti-style is slowly forming, as artists come and go drawing on doors and walls as they please. Traditional, conceptual and sometimes downright absurd artwork is combined to create a totally unique atmosphere.
Rooms are decorated in a bohemian and eclectic style. Those with a sense of adventure will find the weird and wonderful quirk charming and fascinating.
Some rooms are high up in the building so those who can walk it can enjoy the most spectacular views.
