The staff were friendly, the location is perfect so close to the beach and towards the end of the esplanade.
Dislikes:
It is hard to relax when you're woken by hoovering soon after 8 am every day. I understand they have high standards which are very well maintained - perhaps 9am would be a more sociable time?

The Aqua Hotel is a beautifully appointed family run Hotel with a reputation for service and quality. Superbly situated in the Isle of Wight’s very popular resort of Shanklin, it offers the ideal location for a beachside holiday. The Hotel also provides a central base for the many fine coastal walks that are available in the area, yet remains conveniently close to the town which is just a 10 minute walk away via the Cliff Lift.
In addition to being in a lovely seaside location the Aqua Hotel also offers the ideal venue for holiday makers, Isle of Wight ramblers and local folk for Morning Coffee, Snack Lunches and Afternoon Teas. Its popularity is not just due to the excellent food and drinks available. Nothing could be more comforting than just relaxing under the many sun umbrellas and taking in the delightful vista of Shanklin Bay and the open sea, from the Continental style patios and decks fronting the Hotel.
Holiday accommodation is offered in a selection of 22 bedrooms all furnished and decorated in delightful style and ranging in size from singles to family rooms. All bedrooms are No Smoking, have En-suite facilities and feature Double Glazed Windows, Central Heating, Colour TV, Radio/Intercom, Baby Listening, fitted Hairdryers and Hospitality Trays. A number of these rooms also have sea views and some have a balcony overlooking the Beach.
All meals are taken in the elegant Boaters Restaurant which can accommodate up to 60 guests. It is bright and airy, features ornate ceiling fans and has wide aspect windows offering diners an excellent view of Shanklin Bay and Seafront.
Occupying the remainder of the ground floor is a separate Bar and Entertainment lounge. It has a small Dance Floor, and is comfortably furnished to provide the perfect setting for our guests to relax with a drink and enjoy the holiday season entertainment programme.
Environmental Statement
At the Aqua Hotel we understand the need to limit our use of natural resources and request that Guests select towels to be changed rather than just replacing all towels from their room and perhaps laundering them un-necessarily.
